Naxos (also called Naxos Νάξος or Greek, and Turkish Naksa) is the largest (428 km ²) of Cyclades, Greek islands located in the Aegean Sea. It is part of the Prefecture of the Cyclades, which, along with the Dodecanese, is in turn part of the Southern Aegean Periphery Its largest city and capital Hora (Χώρα), which has 12,000 inhabitants. The most important villages are Filoti, Apiranthos, Tragea, Koronos, sangria and Apollonas.

Naxos is a popular tourist destination with several archaeological sites of easy access. It has many very beautiful beaches considered by tourists such as St. Anne, St. Procopius, Alikos, Kastraki, Mikri Vigla, Plaka and San Giorgio, most of which are located on the western side of the island.
