in the vast territory of the Municipality of Seui in the mountainous heart of our island, were found the remains of several residential areas which, although dating back to the Punic, have a purely constructive nuragico.
to this period can be traced back several nuclei, including the remains of a large village, located in "Orgioloniga" (m. 988). This settlement is made up of some of the funds of huts of various sizes, straight-curved, as well as some remains of the walls around the area. In the past, the area is said to have been found several Punic coins.
Other settlements dating from that era have been found in the localities of the Parties; "San Pietro" and "Is Muras, near or inside the forest Montarbu compendium.
"Parties" was certainly a center of some importance. In fact, the discovery of numerous coins dating back to the Sardinian-Punic leads to the assumption, even the presence of a mint. Currently, little or nothing remains of this village. In fact, the area some half century ago has been completely reforested, wipe out all traces of the settlement. Today the only traces of the ancient village are represented by a large quantity of stones and cocciame ceramics and pottery.
In the nearby district of "San Pietro" in the area below the railway, you can still detect some faint traces of a probable settlement, in particular, some funds hut. According to local tradition in this town near the ruins of the little country church of San Pietro ("Santu Perdu"), there would have been the village of "Crobu, a large village Sardinian-Punic.
At the same historical period can be traced the tracks of another nucleus, "Is Muras, which unlike the previous one, however, would more properly nuragica origin and structure, given the proximity to the Nuraghe of the same name (now almost disappeared) and the complex "Cercessa.
the border with the territory of Ussassai, on the summit of conical hill rather isolated, that "Sa Conca de 'Casteddu up" (667 m. above sea level) in the past have been found numerous coins, the remains of amphorae, several fragments of pottery and jewelry. Most likely, this site was used as a place of worship, perhaps the burial of prominent local personalities. This hypothesis is supported by the traces of a burial pit. In 1958, the Superintendency of Antiquities made a series of excavations around the foundations of huts and the Romans, probably dating back to IV - III century BC C.
